Description
These lovely spoons were made in Philadelphia circa 1750 by Peter David. He lived from 1707 to 1755 and apprenticed under Peter Quintard in New York from June 12, 1722 through June, 1729. Peter David moved to Philadelphia and was buried at Christ Church after he died. These spoons measure 8 1/2 inches long and weigh 9 Oz. The block initials are H/ IC. Each spoon is marked with two of his PD in a rectangular cartouche with curved end. Yale University has a a tankard and spoons by him.
