Simeon Bayley worked by himself as a silversmith in New York from 1785 to 1796. Prior to that he was in partnership with Daniel Van Voorhis and William Coley. This beautiful urn stands 10 1/4 inches tall to the top of the pineapple finial and measures 4 1/2 inches wide at the top of the bowl. The top and bottom of the urn has wonderful fine beading. It weighs in at 11 oz. 15 Dwt.
