Description

A rare set of 6 silver forks by Daniel Van Voorhis. Daniel was born in Oyster Bay, NY and worked in Philadelphia and then New York. Earlier he was the mint master in Rupert, Vermont minting Vermont coppers (dies cut by William Coley). These forks were made almost certainly in New York circa 1800. They measure 6 3/4 inches and weigh 7 Oz. 13 Dwt. Very fine condition.
