Description

This is a marvelous dated ladle by the great Daniel Van Voorhis. He made this in New York circa 1790. The date on the handle is June 22, 1762. Obviously it was given to some for whom that date was meaningful. He couldn’t have made it then as he was just 10 or 11 years old ! The ladle measures 13 1/2 inches in length and weighs 5 Oz. 9 Dwt.
