Tankard of baluster form with domed lid and molded foot. It has an open work shell form thumb piece and scrolled handle. The monogram is MN for the original owner. This proud tankard stands 9 1/4 inches tall and weighs a hefty 32 Oz. 6 Dwt. Ephraim Brasher made this in New York circa 1780, prior to or just at the end of the Revolutionary War to gain our independence from England. The tankard is in excellent condition with no repairs.
