An American silver sugar by William Gilbert. New York, NY circa 1775. Height 5 1/2 inches 10 oz 10 dwt. beautifully made and proportioned New York sugar bowl from the early days of the Revolution. Gilbert was born in New York in 1746 and elected state senator in 1809. Sold
