Description

This group of 10 silver punch ladles are by John and Joel Sayre. These brothers from Southhampton, NY. were trained by the renowned Elias Pelletreau, who in turn was apprenticed to the great master goldsmith Simeon Soumaine. This once in a lifetime collection is available as a group or in singles priced from just $750 and up. It took the previous owner decades to put the group together. They each measure about 14″ and weigh approximately 5-7 ounces apiece. Every one of these fine silver punch ladles is in wonderful condition. These 200+ year old early American silver ladles are irreplaceable and are being offered at an amazingly low price. I love old punch ladles. While not precisely hollow ware they are certainly wonderful and it would be very difficult to call them just “spoons”. Please take a careful look.
