Here is a great set of matched canns from our federal period. Joseph Lownes made these in Philadelphia right about 1795. They are in very fine condition and have matching eagle engravings. Each cann measures 3 3/4 inches tall and they have a combined weight of 22 Oz. 15 Dwt. The marks are still sharp after a period of over 200 years. I think the next owner should plan on using these to toast special occasions. George Washington was president when these were first used !
