Matthew William Galt worked in Washington DC and made this about 1835. The mark is a little soft but easily identifiable. M.W. Galt also sold silver to Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis among others. The cup stands 3 3/4 inches tall and weighs 3 Oz. 8 Dwt.
