Description
An American silver teapot by Samuel Minott. Boston, Mass. circa 1760. Length 9 3/4 inches 18 oz 10 dwt. tw. Minott was born in Concord in 1732. May have apprenticed with Edward Winslow and did marry Winslow’s granddaughter Elizabeth. William Homes, Sr and William Simkins have also been suggested as his mentors. He also bought finished pieces from Paul Revere, Jr. to resell.This teapot has an inverted pear shape and lovely engraving.
