Description
These cans were made by Samuel Edwards in Boston circa 1750. They are not quite a matched set and could be available as singles, but they are so nice together. One is 5 3/4 ” tall and weighs 12 Oz. 12 Dwt. W/P*S is engraved on the base. The other is 5 1/2 ” tall weighing 11 Oz. 1 Dwt. H/GP is engraved on the handle. Samuel was the fourth son of John Edwards and Sybil (Newman) Edwards. He lived from 1705 until 1762 and probably trained in his fathers shop. SOLD
