This is an important pair of colonial sauce boats. The top edges are gadrooned, which was much more expensive and is extremely rare. They are among the finest pairs of colonial sauceboats in existence. Period. Any original pair of early American sauce boats is a special find. When you first see them the juices start flowing.This is what early American silver is all about. I bought them recently and have come to appreciate how truly wonderful they are.
