This wonderful federal sugar was made by Simeon Bayley in NYC, NY circa 1795. Born about 1759, Bayley was a partner with Daniel Van Voorhiis and William Coley from 1784-1785. The cap is appropriately topped with a pineapple finial. It Measures 10 1/2 inches tall and weighs 11 oz 15 Dwt.
