Description

This marvelous ladle from Newport was made in grand style by Thomas Arnold about 1780. It is 13 inches long and weighs 5 Oz. 10 Dwt. The heavy bright cut border on the handle makes it really stand out, as it should have in wealthy Newport, Rhode Island. Two hundred and forty years later it still makers a glamorous statement.
