Daniel Van Voorhis made this set around 1795. He was born in Oyster Bay, NY and worked in New York after being the mintmaster in Rupert, Vermont making Vermont coppers with Colonel William Coley. The set weighs16 Oz. 6 Dwt and the sugar measures 10 1/2 inches to the top of the finial.
