Description
An American silver porringer by Edward Webb. Boston, Mass. circa 1710. Length 7 7/8 inches 8 oz. Webb was trained in London in the 1680’s. He apprenticed with William Denny. By 1704 he was working in Boston where he lived till his death in October, 1718. In his will he bequeathed 200 pounds to the Poor of Boston. SOLD
