This silver tankard is by William Cowell Jr. it was made in Boston about 1760. The tankard stands 7 1/4 inches tall and weighs 23 Oz. 15 Dwt. He lived in Massachusetts from his birth in 1713 til his death in 1761. So this tankard was made at the end of his career and at the height of his skills.
