Description

Fabulous salver by William Hollingshead. This was made in Philadelphia circa 1785. It features a delicate rope work edge and a reticulated openwork border. Three stepped pad feet complete the piece. It measures 6 5/8 inches across and weighs 7 Oz. 4 Dwt. One small old repair to openwork. Winterthur Museum has a salver by Hollingshead. His work can also be seen at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Yale Museum.
