This lovely silver porringer is by William Simpkins who made it circa 1770 in Boston, Massachusetts. His shop was near the drawbridge. He was also a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company since 1739. The porringer measures 8 inches across the top to the tip of the handle and weighs 6 Oz. 5 Dwt. His WS mark is very small like always and just to the left of the handle. Kane mark F. There are a few small blemishes to the bowl as usual.
