An American silver footed salver by Edward Winslow. Boston, Mass. circa 1710-20.
Diameter 9 3/8 inches 13 oz. 10 dwt. Winslow was born in Boston in 1669 and most likely apprenticed with Jeremiah Dummer. He held many public offices and produced some of the finest early American silver extant. His sugar boxes can be seen in the MFA, Yale and Winterthur collections. This footed salver is a fine example of his work. SOLD
