Description

This is a sweet little silver creamer made in Boston by Zachariah Brigden. It was made shortly after Independence. There is a touch of waviness to the edge of the base but it sits flat and has a charming strap handle. The engraved initials are contemporary and the piece measures 4 1/2 inches tall at the lip and weighs 4 Ounce 7 Dwt. The initials are for Judith Noyes of Newburyport. According to the letter that came with the creamer it was probably purchased by Moses Little of Newburyport after the battle of Bunker Hill when he was in Boston. Later he gave it to his granddaughter Judith Noyes.
