Description

An American silver trellised waste bowl by John David. Philadelphia, Pa. circa 1785. Diameter 6 inches 12 oz. The David family, like their contemporaries the Richardsons and others, had several generations of silversmiths. This was almost certainly part of a tea set. The waste bowl was for tea that had cooled too much. SOLD
