Description

This American Silver teapot by Abraham Dubois is in pristine condition, complete with lid attached by a chain. The edges are an engraved tulip border. The front has a small, modest falcon crest. The base is marked twice with “A.Dubois” in rectangles.

This drum-shaped style is typical of the 18th century silver tea pots. It has a perfectly preserved detached domed cover with pineapple finial. Yale University has a Dubois teapot with matching creamer and sugar allegedly made for Aaron Burr.
