Attributed to John Hastier by John Ward and Kevin Tierney at Sotheby’s. This ladle was made in New York, NY circa 1730 and surely was present at some memorable occasions in our nation’s history. The piece weighs 3 Oz. 7 Dwt. and measures 13 1/2 inches long. The mark is very close but not exact. Everything about the ladle screams “correct”.
