Jeremiah apprenticed with Joseph Richardson Sr. This cann measures 5 inches tall and 5 1/2 in length over the handle and weighs 12 Oz 6 Dwt. The script monogram is WMM and very faint on the bottom is scratched “made for William Morris”. Financier and signer of the Declaration Robert Morris had a brother, William, born in 1730. It is possible that this cann was once his. There is a faint well repaired minor split to the rim above the monogram.
