Joel Sayre was from Southhampton, NY and made this can about 1800. This well formed lovely can has an angular handle and stands 4 1/2 inches high. It measures 4.5 inches in width over the handle and weighs 8 Oz 4 Dwt. The monogram is very light and the can feels good in the hand. Dent to one side from an unfortunate occurrence means I just took down the price by $400 (sigh). Still wonderful and easily repairable if one would want to. Sold
