Description

This is a marvelous sauce by the great John Leacock. It was made in Philadelphia, Pa circa 1785. He was born in 1729 and died in 1802 when he was buried at Christ Church. The sauce boat measures 7 5/8 inches long and weighs 12 Oz 16 Dwt. The beading at the top and on the foot is balanced with delicate brightcut engraving.
