This is a rare item. An early colonial basting spoon by one of America’s premier silversmithing families. Joseph Richardson Senior made this in Philadelphia circa 1740. It is still in wonderful condition and has the original owner’s initials ER on the handle. The makers marks are clear and it measures 16 inches in length and weighs 6 Oz 10 Dwt.
