Description

This is a magnificent set of 6 tablespoons. These were lovingly cared for for over 2 centuries. The shellback designs are not worn as is usually seen. Each spoon is marked twice PS in his familiar cartouche. 3 of the spoons are initialed RH and the other 3 have MH. Syng was friends with Benjamin Franklin and a member of his Junta. He retired in 1772. These were made in Philadelphia before the First Continental Congress came to town, sometime in the 1760’s. Each spoon measures 8 inches in length and the combined weight is 10 Oz. 19 Dwt. Sold
