Description

This magnificent coffeepot was made by the great Simeon Soumaine in NY circa 1730. It proudly stands 10 3/4 inches tall and weighs 33 Oz 10 Dwt. It is pedigreed to the Ruth Nutt sale Sotheby’s Jan. 2015 lot 657. A similar pot by Soumaine with the same distinctive top is illustrated in Buhler, and in the MFA Boston collection.
