Description

Nathaniel Vernon made this in Charleston, South Carolina circa 1818. This rare Southern cup stands 2 1/2 inches tall and weighs 2 Oz. 13 Dwt. It is engraved on the front “Miss Sophia Harley(sp?) 12 July 1818” There are repairs to the handle and the mark is worn but plain to see. The cup show its age at 200 years old yet still stands proud. Three bands at the top and three bands at the base.
