Description

Here is a wonderful punch ladle by Thomas Shields. He would have made this in Philadelphia circa 1770’s.  Thomas Shields opened his shop “Front Street, the third door above the drawbridge” according to Stephen Ensko. This ladle measures 12 inches in length and weighs 5 Oz. 7 Dwt. It has a very pretty shell form cup and fancy faux rivets to the reverse. It is marked twice on the back of the handle. The initials “T*S” could possibly be for his very own use.
